1986

Real-Time Computing(RTC) Lab. was established in 1986.  Research topics include real-time computing,  fault-tolerant computing, and image processing system.

March/

1998

MultiMedia Computing(MMC) Lab. was  re-established as research area was changed to  the multimedia computing including digital watermarking /  fingerprinting, multimedia forensics, and information  hiding.

September/

2005

Lab. Of Excellence(LOE). The MMC Lab. was only selected in KAIST as the very best quality Lab. of  the Universities in  Korea from the Korea Industrial Technology Foundation. 50 Labs in all were selected in science and engineering areas. The program was supported by the Ministry of Education & Human Resources Development, Ministry of  Commerce, Industry and Energy, and Ministry of Labor.

June/2006

Dec/2014

Center of Fusion Technology for Security(CFTS). It was sponsored by  the Korea Creative Content Agency, Korea Minting & Security Printing Corporation, National Research Foundation of Korea. Prof. Lee is the General Director of the CFTS.

July/

2007

National Research Lab.(NRL) of Fusion Technology for Security. It was supported by the Korea Science and Engineering Foundation funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Korea.

2012

National Leading Research Lab.(NLRL) of Fusion Technology  for Security.  It is supported by the  National Research Foundation of Korea funded by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Korea.
